SOLD: New production shines light on human trafficking.

Theatre vs. Oppression  presents an insight into human trafficking in Wales, in a new production by Jennifer Hartley.

Sold brings the stories of six characters to the stage each based on the testimonies gathered by Theatre vs. Oppression, from victims of human trafficking in Wales. Each account exploring how prominent a problem trafficking is in the UK.

Writer and Theatre vs. oppression founder Jennifer Hartley said: “To realise that it’s on your own doorstep is quite shocking.”

The Cardiff based charity has worked closely with victims of trafficking in Wales and internationally, conducting theatre workshops for victims where they are able to reveal their experiences.

The play will be performed on 22 October 2013 at the Sherman Cymru Theatre before continuing its tour around the UK.
