Cardiff Castle is offering the opportunity to have a Christmas party in style this season. The Christmas Banquet is a variation of the Welsh Banquet that runs throughout the year.

The food offered on the four course menu is seasonally focused, and includes locally sourced Black Mountain liqueur and Glamorgan sausages. Marketing project manager Helen Jones says, “Banquets are popular, and as well as office parties, we have local families and visitors from abroad who are in the area on holiday or visiting family in Wales.”

Helen explained that to add to the theme of the evening, the serving staff are all dressed in traditional Welsh costume and patrons are entertained by a harpist performing some traditional songs, as well as the Christmas favourites for people to listen to and join in.
