Radyr festival grows interest in local food

A garden centre in Radyr will showcase local food at its Christmas food festival at the end of the month.

Pugh’s Garden Centre is holding a Christmas food festival for the local community on 28 – 29 November from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm.

They hope to inspire foodies by bringing in celebrated brands such as artisan cheese-makers Croome Cuisine and ‘Great Taste’ award-winners Bay Tree Food Company.

The festival will host tasting sessions with an array of different chocolates, jams, pies and mulled wine from specialist food companies.

Amy Hawkins, digital marketing assistant at Pugh’s Garden Centre believes that, “Hosting a free event will encourage lots of members of the community to come together in one place and enjoy a festive experience.”
