Made in Roath: Trading Books for Memories

As part of the Made in Roath festival this year local memories will be collected and compiled into a community poem by Welsh poet, Mab Jones.

Organiser, Thatcher, promises the bookmobile "is bigger than you think!"

This project will be carried out in a caravan-turned-bookmobile, where books will be offered in exchange for stories of people’s experiences in Roath.

Organiser Christina Thatcher says, “If you take stories from people in the community that might not normally tell them and turn what they’ve said, the sentiment or their exact words, into something that they can see and be proud of, that’s wonderful.”

The bookmobile will be open Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 October, 11-4. The location will be announced on Twitter @MadeinRoath @writetoempower
