Cadw celebrates Christmas with Dickens

This year Cadw is celebrating Christmas at Castell Coch in an unusual way, marking not only the festive season, but also the 200th anniversary of the birth of one of the greatest writers, Charles Dickens.

Celebrate Christmas differently this year and go back in time with Dickens

This special event will involve a seasonal assortment of readings from the works of Charles Dickens, followed by an authentic Victorian buffet supper, accompanied by harp music. The exclusive event will take place on 8 and 9 December at Victorian folly, just north of Cardiff.

Dr Ffion Reynolds, Public Engagement Manager at Cadw said, “An Evening with Dickens is a wonderful way to begin the Christmas season and to listen to readings from the well-known tale of Ebenezer Scrooge and Tiny Tim in the fabulous Drawing Room at Castell Coch.”
