Spooky Ukey fright night

Cardiff Ukulele Cabaret is hoping to send a chill down the spine of Gwdihŵ with Spooky Ukey this Halloween.

Ukulele Nights at Gwdihw

Spooky Ukey promises some fun Halloween treats

Gwdihŵ will get a fright on Monday 31 October 2011 with a night of scary themed ukulele songs at Gwdihŵ.

Nick Canham who organises the Ukulele Cabaret says audiences won’t just hear the usual spooky favourites and can expect some comedy and tongue in cheek songs.

“It’s a kind of odd and alternative open mic night,” Nick explains.

“There is the George Formby ukulele image but the Cabaret is a mix of styles. Expect the unexpected is what I would say.”

Any ukulele players are welcome to take part if they contact Nick to be put on the schedule.

Ukulele cabaret comes to Gwdihŵ every two months with free entry. The next event will be Christmas themed on 12 December 2011.
