Local band Samoans have been nominated for the prestigious Welsh Music Prize with their album Rescue alongside some of the biggest players in the current music scene. With their own brand of intricate, melodic math-rock, Samoans are fast becoming one of Wales’ up and coming talents.

Since forming in 2008, Samoans fast became known for their energy and fretboard skills in their notorious live shows.

Lead singer Dave said, “we’re incredibly excited to be nominated alongside some of the people we have look up to for a long time, such as Manic Street Preachers, Gruff Rhys, Cate Le Bon and Future Of The Left. It’s an honour in itself to be mentioned in the same breath as these acts!”
