Baroque Concert in Cardiff

Celebrated violinist Rachel Podger is set to captivate her audience with renditions of Bach, Biber and Telemann.

On Thursday 11th October, Rachel Podger will be performing in the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (RWCMD).

She will be giving renditions of two of Bach’s masterpieces, Sonata no. 1 in G minor and Partita no. 1 in G minor, as well as playing other unaccompanied works by Baroque composers Biber and Telemann.

Ceri Puckett, Marketing Manager of Performances in the RWCMD, says: “Baroque music is a specific strand and has quite a niche following. Rachel has performed internationally with her Bach repertoire and always manages to draw a good audience.”

Rachel has toured the world and given solo performances in North America, Europe, Japan and Korea.
